Board membership requires a time commitment of approximately 6-10 hours a month (hours vary based on board position) in addition to attending monthly board meetings and the annual strategic planning Saturday in October. Attendance at as many monthly meetings as possible is highly desired but not required. It is the intent of the board to cover expenses associated with attendance to one PMI Leadership meeting a year for board members (there are two such meetings a year). However no reimbursement is made for time to attend these meetings. Elected PMI-NAC board members have committed to filling the responsibilities for the position as described here in addition to the time commitments noted above.
Elected board members agree, should other commitments prevent them from filling the responsibilities of office for the remainder of their term, that they will give the board at least two weeks notice of their desire to resign from the board and will work with the board to transition on-going responsibilities to an appropriate volunteer or other board member.
